Hi there, I cannot get 2025-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5053598) to install no matter what I do. My laptop reboots overnight and I still have the same windows update waiting for installation.

    Double-click Background Intelligent Transfer Service.

If the Startup status lists Stopped, click Start and then click OK. If the status is Running, right click then select Restart

    Double-click Windows Update.

If the Startup status lists Stopped, click Start and then click OK. If the status is Running, right click then select Restart

Few things to check on the PC

**Unplug all external peripherals except for the Mouse, Keyboard, and LAN cable before starting

**Disable or uninstall any third-party Antivirus program to prevent it from interfering with the upgrade

Kindly let me know if this helps or if you have any further concerns by clicking the "Reply" button at the end of my response. I will appreciate it.

    Kind regards,

    John DeV

I appreciate the reply, however, you really do not make is easy to gather all the information you require. To assist me, it would be much better if a live person from Microsoft would actually make direct contact me. To be honest, you have really compounded my problems.

    Hi John

I also tried the installation file from the catalogue link you kindly gave me. I tried this and it still does not install. It gets to 98% and fails. It takes forever for my laptop to restart after installing and uninstalling the file too.

    Thank you

    Hi John

Thanks for the quick reply. I cannot seem to get further than 'Transfer Service.' I'm using Windows 11 too. I double click on 'Background Intelligent Transfer Service' and am unsure what to click from here. I cannot seem to copy and paste images with respect to this either.

Please get back to me. Is there anyone in Microsoft that I can actually speak with please?

    Thank you

    Andrew
