Hello

When I attempt to uninstall Bitdefender through the Control Panel, it prompts me for a password. However, even though my account is the only one on this computer, my password doesn't work. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for updating me.

Since your Windows is Enterprise, your BitDefender edition is Enterprise too. I suggest contacting your company's IT team if possible to provide you with steps to remove it. The IT Team probably set that password.

Please keep me posted to provide you with troubleshooting steps if needed.

    I really appreciate your help.

They told me I need to return the computer so they can uninstall it, as they installed it remotely and have the password. They also need to disjoin it from the domain.

    Use Bitdefender's own uninstall tool.

    Thank you for your reply.

My account has full admin rights and it only prompts for a password to BitDefender.

I'm running Windows 11 Enterprise 23H2, and my device is joined to a domain, though I no longer work for that company.

    Hi KarzanSY,

I'm Dyari. Thanks for reaching out. I will be happy to assist you in this regard.

Does it ask for a password only when uninstalling the software mentioned, or does it ask for both installing and uninstalling any software? Does your account have admin rights? What is your Windows version?

Please right click Start > Computer Management > Users and Groups > Groups > Double click on Administrator > Do you see your account there?
