So the problem started like this-I am having some issues with my pc such as black screen so i decided to reset my pc with keeping my files but the option is not working in the settings .then i saw some ideas on net and enable my reset option through command prompt using reagentc /enable command and it works so i put my pc on reset as the process started in middle of it the light goes off and pc switched off and when i switch on my pc it shows some errors with reset the show a message box that reads there are some problem resetting your pc click yes to restart the reset process and i follow that and then the starting screen shows undoing changes and then restart the reset process with some time the rest process completed and the window installation started at the middle of the process the light again goes off and my laptop again switched off as my pc has some battery issues also and the switch off thing happened for three times in a row and lastly when i am able to turn on my pc it shows first automatic repair then it goes to diagnosis your pc after some seconds it shows a blue screen which reads the automatic repair is not able to repair your pc try other options in advanced options and in second lines there something written like this Logfiles: E: Recovery \WindowsRE \Winre.wim \System32 \Logfiles \Srt \SrtTrail.txt and the i click on advanced option and got to a screen and there are 5 options: exit and continue to Windows recovery environment, i tried that and came back to the same screen. The next is use a device- use a usb drive, network connection or windows recovery DVD. I have none of those so that's not ab option. The next says Use another operating system- continue with another installed version of windows. When i click on it there are 3 options: windows recovery environment, and 2 identical options that say windows 10 on volume 3. None of those worked. The next one is Troubleshoot- reset your pc or see advanced options. I click on that and it says reset this pc or advanced options. I tried to reset my pc but whether I keep my files or not, it says there's a problem resetting my pc. If i click on advanced options there's 6 options: system restore, go back to the previous version, system image recovery, startup repair, command prompt, and UEFI Firmware settings. It says I have no restore points so that didn't work. Going back to a previous version didn't work b/c it says it ran into a problem and cant take you back to previous version of windows. System image recovery brought me to a screen that just brought up a box that said i have no system image. Startup repair restarted my computer and attempted to find what was wrong but it just loaded back up the same screen. Command prompt, i tried some command available online but none of that work . now please tell me something that i can do to my pc to run it properly as i am having my exams and all my study material is in the laptop and also i have no any usb drive option to save my data please tell me some solution .

    Hi Tanisha,

In the Windows Recovery Environment’s Command Prompt, type

    bootrec /fixmbr

and press Enter. This command attempts to repair the Master Boot Record, which may have become corrupted during the interrupted reset. Once it finishes, type

    exit

and then restart your PC (or use shutdown /r /t 0 to force an immediate reboot). Make sure your laptop is connected to a reliable power source throughout the process.

    Hi Tanisha,

Based on what you described, it looks like the interrupted reset and repeated power losses have left your Windows installation corrupted. The best solution right now is to repair Windows using installation media so you can preserve your files and get the system working again.

Since you mentioned you don’t have a USB drive available, if your laptop has a DVD drive you can use another computer to download the Windows 10 ISO from Microsoft and then burn it to a DVD.

Before you start, make sure your laptop is connected to a reliable power source (if possible, remove the battery if it’s removable) so you don’t run into power interruptions again. Once you have the DVD, boot your laptop from it by entering the BIOS or boot menu and select “Repair your computer” instead of installing Windows. Then use the Startup Repair tool to try to fix the boot issues. This method should repair the damaged files without affecting your personal data.

Please let me know how it goes.
