Hi everyone,
I’ve been using the workstation pro for my quad 4090 system, and I don’t see a benefits. Even with dual CPUs, this won’t be worth it.
Hope I could help you!

Hello,
I am new to using a PC. I have a custom PC build, which appears to meet the system requirements for windows 11, but I’ve seen some reviews that say there are feature that possibly only work on machines purchased through Microsoft (and possibly have co-pilot?)?
Secondly, I work freelance with 3d modeling cad software, as well as rendering. From basic descriptions I wouldn’t be utilizing any of the features in pro, since I am not sharing files etc. However, I am curious about the workstation version of pro saying that it features “Advanced processing capabilities with lag-free multitasking across your most demanding apps for a more seamless workflow.” I am working in such programs, but I don’t know if this will actually impact the performance of my pc and programs, particularly enough to justify the cost (again working solo, no need for fast file sharing). Also, are these automatic, or something I would have to configure myself?
Thank you!

Windows pro does give you more control handling administration tasks over the home version. That's just me, but here get it straight from your Copilot, this is what I got with my question if you want to ask it a question concerning this matter by all means jump in to your copilot and ask! if you want to ask it again because you may have been a bit confused on a particular topic within the answer you got than ask about it take care and go ahead get your Copilot on!!!
Thank you!
Hello,
I unfortunately have not yet been able to find the video again that said certain features wouldn’t work.
In terms of my hardware I have AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D, 2x 2TB SSD (4TB total), 64GB (6400MHz) Ram, and NVIDIA GeForce 5080 OC. If I don’t need workstation for this, is pro any better than home? I don’t need any of the sharing features it lists on the website, so I don’t even see what the point of Pro would be for me. I mainly was curious about workstation since it claims lag-free performance with 3D CAD and other design programs I use extensively with heavy files, which is why I’m upgrading my system in the first place. But if none of them will make a difference with my particular hardware or programs I’m running, maybe all I need is home version…
Thank you
Hello,
I am curious about the review you read. Features typically depend on hardware compatibility. "machines purchased from Microsoft" doesn't make sense. If you have the original review you read about, maybe I can see the context and explain better.
Pro vs. Workstation - first of all, not all hardware supports running workstation. If you’re not running ultra-high-end hardware (such as high-core-count CPU, 128GB+ RAM, NVMe RAID), Windows 11 Pro is more than enough for your needs. The Workstations edition is primarily for enterprise users with specialized hardware.
