Blue screen on a brand new Dell Laptop caused by ntoskrnl.exe

Hi,

I have a brand new dell laptop.

Since the last 2 months I am experiencing BSOD errors with random error messages . When checking in BlueScreenView, the program causing errors is ntoskrnl.exe.

What I have tried:

  • checked the RAM, with memtest86, no issue found
  • reinstalled windows - not clean install
  • checked the disk multiple times with chkdsk - no issue found.

I am running out of ideas here - can I get some help, please. I have uploaded the latest minidump file to 031325-30078-01.dmp .

thanks in advance!

    Hi,

After applying those settings I got BSOD every time my windows loaded.

I ended up doing a format and clean install of windows on the same drive. So far running error free.

    thanks!

The minidump files do not indicate any driver or hardware causes, only memory corruption.

Try forcing Windows to show failed drivers and produce minidump files, enable Driver Verifier for this.

Let the BSOD happen 3 times and then see if the files were created.

Before running Driver Verifier, create a new system restore point.

If you have problems starting Windows after enabling Driver Verifier, follow these steps:

Start your PC, as soon as Windows tries to load (spinning dots appear), press and hold the power button for 5 to 10 seconds to perform a forced shutdown

Do this two or three times.

Windows will boot into the Recovery Environment.

Go to Troubleshoot > Advanced Option > Startup Settings and click Restart.

When restarting, press 4 to enter safe mode.

Open command prompt as administrator, run these two commands and restart your PC.

    verifier /reset

    verifier /bootmode resetonbootfail

    Hi,

I have uploaded some more dumps here :

    031225-16750-01.dmp

    031225-16687-01.dmp

    031325-26625-01.dmp

Appreciate your help with checking these.

My question is , if both tests - Windows Memory Diagnostic and memtest86 show as passed, what should be the next steps since the laptop is still under warranty but still I dont have a concrete conclusion of a potential root cause?

    thanks!

The minidump file do not indicate any driver or hardware causes, only memory corruption.

Do you have more minidump files ?
