When I installed Ubuntu, I removed Windows 11. Now I want to go back to Windows 11. How can I install Windows 11 from Ubuntu and remove Ubuntu? Will my laptop still recognize my Windows license?

Hi, I'm Estrella. I'll do my best to help you.

To reinstall Windows 11 on your computer, you will need a bootable USB drive with the Media Creation Tool. Then, boot your computer from the USB, delete all partitions on your drive, and perform a clean install of Windows. Please note that this will wipe all your data, so you may need to back it up first.

With regard to your Windows license, as long as it was activated before on that computer, it will automatically detect and reactivate Windows. If prompted for a product key, click 'I do not have a product key,' and then click Next.

Find an empty USB drive with at least 8 GB of space and a working computer, then follow the steps below:

  1. Click this link: https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/win...

Under Download Windows 11 Disk Image (ISO), Click on "Download tool now."

  1. Run the tool, create a bootable USB drive or ISO file, and deselect the 'Use the recommended options for this PC' box to choose the correct language and edition.

Detailed steps here: https://www.elevenforum.com/t/create-windows-11...

Once the process is done:

  1. Connect the installation media to your PC.
  2. Start your PC and press any key to continue. Click Next > Click Install Now.
  3. When the Windows Setup starts, follow the on-screen instructions.

Note: If prompted for a product key, click 'I do not have a product key' and then click Next.

Make sure you install the same edition of Windows 11 (Home or Pro) that you previously had installed to avoid activation issues.

Create a Windows 11 Media Creation Tool (MCT) (Windows 11 iso).

Boot to the MCT > manually delete all partitions creating an unallocated disk drive > clean install Windows

Many computers require the manual addition of IRST drivers.

If you encounter an error message the take pictures and post share links.
