Hello all

I have a big problem getting my laptop to work.

Earlier today my Asus Zenbook 13 was lagging like when u running out of ram. So I restarted the laptop. And the updates started happening.

I left it alone and came back to it and a Asus start screen was on with top left corner saying

The operating system did not shutdown cleanly.

So I left it alone came back to it after couple of hours and it's still there.

So switched it off holding power button.

Turned it on Asus screen with the O comes on and it's just processing stuck there after about 30 mins I see the blue screen of error

Your device ran into a problem and needs to restart

Stop code: inaccessible boot device

Then quickly reboots

And the The operating system did not shutdown cleanly screen comes up.

Leave this to process after 30mins another blue screen comes up with different stop code DRIVER PNP WATCHDOG

restarts and we back to square one.

What have I tried

I tried suggestions on safe mode restart but I don't get that option I have held power button restart hit power button again when Asus comes it turns off done this more then 10 times and no safe mode option.

Gone in to bios and done restore defaults. Still same problem

I've seen a suggestion of disabling VMD but I can't find this option in my BIOS

Please any help I'm desperate to get to use my laptop for work.

Thanks

Nope, I'm stuck on the black loading page as shown in the pictures once it finishes processing it goes to the blue screen and then in 10 seconds reboots and does the same thing all over again.

Can you reach the Log in page when you start the PC normally?

    Hi Anish,

I tried doing the holding shift + power. It turns on laptop and immediately starts Preparing Automatic Repair, top left corner is

the operating system did not shutdown cleanly.

Then I try holding shift+power it just switches off and doesn't restart.

I can't get into windows recovery environment.

    Any other suggestions

    Thanks

Hello, my name is Anis. I'll be glad to help you today.

Please try to perform a Startup Repair.

When you restart your PC, press and hold the Shift key while you select Power > Restart. This will take you to Windows Recovery Environment.

Once in Windows RE, select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Repair > Restart

After the device reboots, Startup Repair scans your computer for problems and then tries to fix them.
