Add character to touch keyboard?

Is it possible to add a character to the options listed when I left click any particular letter?

For example, if I open the touch screen I can left click the letter "a" and select from a number of different options. For example, I been using "ă" in some language study, and that is not listed as a left-click selection. I CAN go through a painfully long process to type that letter, but it's not a reasonable way to type. Now that laptops have regrettably foregone embedded number pads, using ALT codes is not longer reasonable either. (Oh, how I miss embedded num pads!)

The "ă" is a common vowel in Swedish.

So, if you configure your computer to add the Swedish keyboard,

then you can hold-down the Windows keyboard key, and tap the space-bar to switch to the Swedish input method. Release the Windows key, and tap the key that is mapped to the "ă".

Repeat the Windows-spacebar to switch back to your primary language.

Or, when writing a document, insert one "ă" at the bottom of your document. Then, you can use copy-and-paste of that character into wherever place(s) you need it to appear.

Or, when typing into your document, just type some character that you otherwise would not use (tilde, back-quote, caret, ???) and continue keyboarding your entire document. At the end, use the "Replace" option within the "Edit" pull-down to change all of those "wrong" chărăcters to the "right" chæræcter.

     "ă"

Hah - just noticed there is now a toggle to switch between languages at the bottom right of the touch keyboard. YAY!

Hello ! I'm Aymeric, an independent advisor, and I'm here to help !

At the moment, you cannot add a character to the Windows touch keyboard.

    Sorry for the inconvenience...

However, here's a workaround that might work for you : if you use the keyboard shortcut Windows + V, the clipboard will pop up on your screen. From there, you do have a button to show special characters, like the ă .

Depending on the letter you have to write, it could work for you.

Please let me know if you have any other question !

I actually had already added the second language in hopes that it would solve the issue. And I was about to say I couldn't make it switch, but now I have made my

(And yes to your workaround - still, it would be so much easier with the touch keyboard.)

I'll say it again - I deeply miss embedded number pads for SO many reasons!

    Thanks.
