Micropsoft Security Essentials
I know support for Win 7 has been discontinued since 2020, but updates for Microsoft Security Essentials has continued (KB2310138) until 21 February 2025. Has this now been discontinued too?

2025-03-15T17:24:49+00:00 Because I finally pulled the plug on my Windows 7 system, I don't know if Windows Update has stopped providing signature updates for MSE, but you can still get them manually here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wdsi/defenderupdates

2025-03-17T14:48:02+00:00 I am not sure if it was your answer or the one from LemP (also on March 15) but I finally managed to update the MSE definitions, but through MSE > Updated > Update definitions, NOT through Windows Updates.
KB3140245 was already installed on my machine and when I finally found how to run the Easy Fix IT WORKED!!
I will check for another upate tomorrow.
