The answer for how to recover unsaved notepad .txt files. I thought I was selecting reschedule update, instead I selected restart. I was working on a project in notepad on 10/15/24. It is 10/19/24 and I need to recover those files. I tried to restart the project but I put in so much work in the other file, I am not going to finish on time. There were other answers that were not correct that I tried. But I found my files and I wanted to share the answer so others in my similar situation can recover their files too. So this started out as a question, then ended up being a solution. By the way, I am not savvy at all with PCs so others will probably be more apt at giving more details if you're having trouble following my instructions. I was just so desperate to find these files, that I had a single 5 second moment of brilliance in my desperation. *laughs*
