Hello. Recently i installed new components in my pc and windows asks me to activate it. I have the key code but when i enter it it simply doesn't work.
I tried the suggested method in here by clicking find and resolve problem button but after it loads it keep saying that the servers are offline and i should wait few minutes.

    >The key i got a long time ago with windows 7 cd bought in the shop.

When you use that free upgrade from Win 7 to Win 10 you get dital license which allower to activating Windows 10, but since 20th of Sept. 2023 its not possible to use Windows 7 license to activate Windows 10 on new computers.

New MB = New Computer --> You need new licese for ypour new MB.

Ah ok, you cannot use Windows 7 anymore, once you've claimed the free upgrade, you are on digital license. The old 7 key is no longer relevant.

go to Settings > Update & Security > Activation, run the troubleshooter, choose the hardware change option. When it asks you where it is installed on right now, you should choose the old device name. Then click on Activate button. And on the next screen when it asks you where to transfer it to, choose your new device name. See if that does the trick.

    Hello,

What is the new components you added? Did you change motherboard?

Where did you get the key - did it come with the device, or did you purchase it?

Can you please type cmd in the search on the taskbar and hit enter to launch command prompt, then run the following command:

    slmgr /dlv

Then share a screenshot please. Thanks!
