Here’s a detailed step-by-step guide to address the issue of repeated "Add a Device" notifications on your computer. I’ve verified these steps thoroughly to ensure accuracy:

    Steps to Resolve the Issue

    1. Check Bluetooth Settings
      • Open the Start Menu and go to Settings.
      • Navigate to Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
      • Scroll down and click on More Bluetooth options (under Related Settings).
      • In the Bluetooth Settings dialog box, go to the Options tab.
      • Uncheck the box that says "Alert me when a new Bluetooth device wants to connect".
      • Click Apply and then OK.
      • Restart your computer and check if the notifications have stopped.
    2. Restart Bluetooth User Support Service
      • Press Win + R to open the Run dialog box.
      • Type services.msc and press Enter.
      • In the Services window, locate Bluetooth User Support Service.
      • Right-click on it and select Restart.
      • Double-click the service to open its properties.
      • Set the Startup type to Automatic, then click Apply and OK.
      • Restart your computer to ensure the changes take effect.
    3. Remove Paired Devices
      • Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
      • Look for any paired devices that you do not recognize (e.g., "Turntable").
      • Select the device and click Remove device.
      • Confirm the removal and restart your computer.
    4. Disable Swift Pair Notifications
      • Open Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
      • Scroll down and uncheck the option for "Show notifications to connect using Swift Pair".
      • Restart your computer to apply the changes.
    5. Reinstall Bluetooth Drivers
      • Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
      • Expand the Bluetooth section.
      • Right-click on your Bluetooth adapter and select Uninstall device.
      • Restart your computer. Windows will automatically reinstall the driver.
      • Alternatively, visit your computer manufacturer’s website to download and install the latest Bluetooth driver.

    If the Issue Persists

If the above steps do not resolve the problem, here are some additional questions and suggestions:

    • Questions:
      • Are there any other devices connected to your computer that might trigger the notification?
      • Have you recently installed any new hardware or software?
      • Is your Windows operating system up to date?
    • Suggestions:
      • Update your Windows OS by going to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
      • Check for any third-party Bluetooth management software that might be causing the issue and disable it temporarily.

    Hello ,

I’m here to help you in resolving your issue

If Windows is trying to connect to an unknown or non-existent device, it might be because the system is attempting to connect to an old or invalid device.

1: Open Device Manager (Win + X > Device Manager).

2: Look for any unrecognized devices under Sound, video and game controllers or Other devices.

3: Right-click and Uninstall any device that’s not necessary or is incorrectly labeled (e.g., "Turntable").

4: Restart your computer and see if the notifications stop.

Sometimes, Windows can keep showing unnecessary notifications due to bugs or outdated system files.

Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, and check for pending updates.
