Hi Pranjal Patel,   Welcome to Microsoft Community. Thank you for posting your inquiry regarding the functionality of Phone Link and Link to Windows software.

I understand how unsettling it can be when a feature you count on isn’t immediately visible—it can interrupt your workflow and raise more questions.

The feature you mentioned is currently only available on certain device models.

Software compatibility and security configurations also weave into the equation. In some instances, especially in environments with stringent security policies or enterprise-level management, certain features like cross-device clipboard sharing can be deliberately restricted to prevent inadvertent data transfer or breaches. If your device’s security settings or network policies have recently tightened—or if the app isn’t fully updated to account for recent changes—the feature toggle might be unavailable.

You can repair some apps and programs if they're not running correctly. Note that you won't see repair, change, or modify options for all apps and programs.

    • In Windows 11, Select Start > Settings > Apps > Installed apps and select the More icon next to the app you want to fix.
    • In Windows 10, Select Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features and select the app you want to fix.
    • Select Advanced options under the name of the app (some apps don't have this option). In the page that opens, select Repairif it's available. If it isn't available or doesn't fix the problem, select Reset.

If your device or software has experienced a change in the software environment that has caused problems, then you may need to try to restore it to a relatively early state in some way.

    • At the Windows level, some community members will try to get an earlier version of the Phone Link app. Persistent Issue with Phone Link App - Microsoft Community
    • For mobile devices, you may need to consult the device manufacturer to see if they host or back up earlier versions of the application. Or you may need to try consulting widely available AI services to find out if any third-party sites host offline installation files for earlier versions of the app.
