The surface laptop 4 im using has ethernet capability through the usbc port by using an seperate ethernet adapter, which is how i reinstalled the updates. Ive used my iphone for internet connection once by connecting with lightening cable but running the connection with the bluetooth network connection.

Reinstalling Windows as recommended by Ramesh via Windows Update Recovery has fixed the issue for me.
Hope it will also work fine for others with same update troubleshooting.

I found the solution somewhere else.
Background Intelligent Transfer services was on manual for an unknow reason. Do you know what could have stopped this service and put it on manual?
Woops, I spoke too fast, the installation stay stuck at 16% now.
After this update today 13.03.2025 KB5053598 windows peek no longer works. I have opened several pages and in the taskbar when I mouse over them they are black. I looked in the windows settings and Peek is activated.
Just finished updating March Cumulative Update KB5053598 With **NO** problem to report.
