Windows Security Giving Error for HoYoKProtect.sys "Kernel-Mode Hardware-Enforced Stack Protection"

My windows defender is giving me this error message that Kernel-Mode Hardware-Enforced Stack Protection is turned off.

And when I check the issue it's HoYoKProtect.sys

Is there no solution to this problem. I checked one question in this forum, and it was in 2023 but till date no patch to fix it by Microsoft.

Link to that Issue discussed in 2023: LiveKernelEvent BSOD "Kernel-Mode Hardware-Enforced Stack Protection" - Microsoft Community

Help me understand what's the solution to this problem.

Regards,

Heyansh

    Hi Heyansh,

HoYoKProtect.sys is an anticheat driver. The respective vendor must issue an update as it's not a built-in Windows module.

You can, however, delete the driver to resolve the issue.

Please create a System Restore point and do the following:

Download Autoruns - Sysinternals | Microsoft Learn:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/...

    Run Autoruns as administrator.

Click on the "Drivers" tab and delete the offending driver if it's listed.

    Restart Windows.
