Airpod Pro 4 does not have a paring button as you stated below.

Press and hold the pairing button on the back of the case until the LED light starts flashing white.

    Dear xhris 2x,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community

I completely understand your frustration with the connection issues you're experiencing with your AirPods. This is a concern that has been raised by several community members, with various issues such as connectivity problems and audio quality concerns.

These issues may stem from compatibility challenges between AirPods and Windows, as Apple designs its ecosystem to provide the best experience when all devices are connected within the Apple environment. As a result, official compatibility with the Windows operating system is not guaranteed, which could be contributing to the difficulties you're encountering.

That said, there are a few steps you can try to improve the connection and ensure a smoother pairing experience. Here’s a list of suggestions that may help:

    Ensure AirPods Are Fully Charged

Make sure your AirPods are in the charging case and that the case itself has enough battery. If needed, charge both the AirPods and the case for a while before trying to connect them again.

    Reset Your AirPods

    • Place your AirPods in the charging case and leave the lid open.
    • Press and hold the button on the back of the case until the LED light flashes amber, followed by white.
    • Once the reset is complete, try pairing your AirPods again.

    Pair AirPods with Windows 11

    • Keep the lid of your AirPods case open with the AirPods inside.
    • Press and hold the pairing button on the back of the case until the LED light starts flashing white.
    • On your Windows 11 PC, go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices.
    • Click Add device.
    • In the Add a device window, select Bluetooth.
    • Your computer will search for available Bluetooth devices. Select your AirPods from the list to pair them.

    Forget and Reconnect AirPods

    • If your AirPods appear in the list of paired devices but aren’t connecting properly, try removing them and pairing them again.
    • Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices.
    • Locate your AirPods in the list, click on them, and select Remove device.
    • After removing them, follow the pairing steps above to reconnect.

    Update Bluetooth Drivers

    • Open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start button and selecting Device Manager.
    • Expand the Bluetooth section.
    • Right-click on your Bluetooth adapter and select Update driver.
    • Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
    • Follow any prompts to install the updated drivers and then restart your PC.

    Restart Bluetooth Services

    • Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
    • Scroll down to Bluetooth Support Service, right-click on it, and select Restart.
    • Make sure the service is set to Automatic:
      • Right-click on Bluetooth Support Service and choose Properties.
      • In the Startup type dropdown menu, select Automatic.
      • Click Apply, then OK.

    Test with Another Bluetooth Headset

To determine whether the issue is specific to your AirPods or a broader Bluetooth connectivity problem, try connecting a different Bluetooth headset to your PC. This will help confirm if the issue is related to the AirPods or your PC's Bluetooth hardware.

By following these steps, you should be able to connect your AirPods to your Windows 11 PC more effectively. However, if the problem persists, it could point to a deeper compatibility issue, either with the AirPods or your PC’s Bluetooth hardware.

If none of the solutions resolve the problem, it might be worthwhile to consult Apple’s technical support for further assistance, as they may have additional troubleshooting steps specific to AirPods.

Please let me know how it goes or if you have any further questions!

    Best Regards,

Martin | Microsoft Community Support Specialist
