Samsung S20 FE 5G will not pair with Windows 11 Computer

I got a new computer 2 weeks ago, and I have been trying to pair my phone ever since. I have phone link connected, running smoothly but my phone will not pair directly with the computer. However, my friends Samsung S24 pair, connected...stayed connected on the first attempt.

The only reason this is really an issue for me, is because I am not able to share files between my phone, and my computer which happens to be causing a great deal of frustration.

I have restarted both my phone, and computer. I have checked for driver updates, computer and phone updates...everything is up to date, and "working properly".

I turn Bluetooth on, on both devices. Each device appears on the other, I click to pair...the numbers match, I click again. My computer shows its connected for approximately 20 seconds before it is no longer connected, while my phone immediately shows that it cannot connect to my computer. I've clicked on the "Bluetooth Tips" on my phone...which btw are not tips, its literally basic knowledge which was already followed countless times and it provides me with no additional information.

I have seen that other people have had the same, or very similar issues with this phone and Windows 11 but I have yet to find a solution to this problem.

I would greatly appreciate, any and all advice, help, tips, suggestions...anything at all.

I have a Samsung S21FE and have the exact same issue as Brittnay. My phone was connecting thru phone link for several months and on March 25th it just stopped. I have performed the same recommendations that Brittnay has. Uninstall, Unpair, Bluetooth Drivers, etc. My phone will pair to my laptop, show connected, and 20 seconds later it is no longer connected. I have also uninstalled Phone Link and reinstalled it. No help. The Phone Link app is a great tool and I really hope this issues resoved, soon.

    Dear Brittany Owens!

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community!

Thank you for describing in detail the issue of Samsung S20 FE 5G not pairing with Windows 11 PC. I understand the frustration of this situation, especially when you need to share files between devices.

To be honest, your problem is not an isolated case. There have been many user reports of Bluetooth pairing problems with Samsung S20 FE 5G and other models of mobile phones with Windows 11, but unfortunately there is still no complete solution. I personally have encountered similar situations. The phone that was able to connect normally before suddenly stopped connecting, which is really annoying.

Since Bluetooth pairing is unstable, you can consider the following alternative methods to transfer files:

    1. Use cloud storage services: such as OneDrive, Google Drive or Dropbox
    2. Via USB data cable: directly connect the phone and computer
    3. Email: For small files, you can email yourself

Unfortunately, this problem may need to wait for Microsoft's Phone Link development team to fix it completely through system updates. We are all looking forward to that day.

I hope the above information is helpful to you. If you find any effective solutions, you are also welcome to share them with the community.

Thank you for your understanding and support!

I wish you all the best.

    Best regards,
