In that case, go to the supprot page for your PC on the manufacturers website to download and re-install (not update) a full set of device drivers.
My PC all of a sudden has become incredibly slow and laggy
I recently was watching YouTube and then all of a sudden my PC froze and I couldn't do anything, I forcefully turned it off then I booted it up again and then it made a loud beeping sound, it did about 20 beeps in 10 seconds then it would turn off and then it would start up and do it all over again, after a while I checked inside the PC and the CPU fan stops moving and that's when the beeping would start, so I took out the fan gave it a dust because it was pretty dusty, then we applied some new thermal paste on it and put it back to together, now when you start up the PC it starts up and the fan is now spinning and the PC works all fine, but when you open an application on the PC it starts to slow down and gets incredibly slow and laggy, it shouldn't do this since I have a GTX 1060 3GB GPU and a Intel i7-3770 CPU in it and it used to run fine until it crashed the other day. We can't ask for a technician since we don't have the money for that.

GPU: GTX 1060 3GB
CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-3770 Processor
Memory: 16GB RAM
Storage: 1TB SSD
500GB HDD
2TB Hard Drive

2025-04-13T08:24:12+00:00 Thank you for the screenshots, your system hardware is not under any pressure when your system is lagging, so most likely the Widows installation is corrupt, the best option is to perform an in-place repair with the Windows ISO.
Please follow the steps, this is then not like re-installing Windows, it is just like an update and your personal files, settings and installed software will not be affected.
Click this link:
https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/win...
to download the Media Creation Tool (Click on Download Tool Now), with that you can download the latest Windows 10 ISO (Select Create Installation Media for Another PC), then choose ISO, not USB
When the ISO file completes downloading
Disconnect from the Internet
Disconnect all external devices with the exception of a mouse or keyboard.
Temporarily disable any 3rd party Anti-virus you may have installed
Then, in Windows File Explorer, double click the ISO and then run Setup.exe and select the Install option.

1
Click your Start Button, then just type winver and press Enter, please provide a screenshot of the resulting dialog box.
2
Restart (not shut down) your PC to flush out your RAM.
Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc)
Select the Processes tab on Task Manager and leave that window open to monitor your system.
When your PC starts to lag, please provide a screenshot of that window.
