Azure Subscription for Educational Institution

We are a Higher Educational Institution, and currently we have SQL Server licensing agreements with Microsoft through the state of Maryland. We are in the process of exploring Microsoft Azure capabilities and how our current environment will work when we move to Azure in the future. We would like to know if our licensing agreement includes a free Azure subscription to setup testing environments for having in the Microsoft cloud, hybrid and if it works fine with AWS. Please provide us with our options to be able to test over a period of time since this is on the side and not a dedicated effort.

    There are many opportunities in Azure that are available for Higher Educational Institutions and you'll want to speak directly with an expert who can help you navigate what is best for you (getting the most out of your SQL Server license and hybrid solutions with AWS or other cloud providers):

    There are also some other opportunities to be aware of. Azure offers a Free account with a $200 credit you can use to try out Azure services and there are also Student accounts that can be used for education:
