At some point this SB6066612 update will be forced on me. What do I do then?
Here's how to install an update successfully: The secret is in the word 'supported'.
All your hardware should be supported on Windows 11. That means you have installed Windows 11 drivers for all of your hardware.
All your apps should be supported on Windows 11. That means you are running up-to-date Windows 11 versions of all your apps.
Your Windows configuration should be supported. That means you have not made any changes to your operating system that are not approved by Microsoft.
I follow these three principals myself, and I do not have problems with updates.
On the other hand, if you still have old hardware and apps; or if you make changes to your computer that you found on YouTube, or if you use 'optimization' software, or if you otherwise edit the registry or change file access permissions or run complicated command lines, etc. you can pretty much expect trouble. I know because I did all that at one time and got what I deserved. đ
