How can we take the backup of the OS on the cloud? We have already tried the media creation tool, recovery drive, and hp cloud recovery tool.

Please provide us with a simple solution for that.

basically we need to make a Windows image that we can back up when needed from the windows (WinRe) cloud recovery menu

My concern is if Windows gets curropted for some reason, what will be the other option to get my Windows back in the same situation with my files and documents?

There is an application for this, which is the HP Cloud Recovery Tool, through which we can recover Windows. However, it only works for the operating systems provided by the OEM.

I see you reported the answer to not solve the problem.
Unfortunately, there is no function as requested directly in Windows.
    May I further help?

    Hi Kshitiz,

    Thank you for reaching out!

My name is Stefano and it’s my pleasure to assist you today.

To create a Windows OS image backup that can be stored in the cloud and later used for recovery through WinRE, you’ll need to combine Windows image creation with cloud storage.

Windows doesn’t natively support full OS image recovery directly from cloud via WinRE, but there are reliable third-party solutions that make this possible.

Windows Backup just backing up your folders and OS settings in OneDrive and keeping your backups updated.

Please, see the Microsoft official article below:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/bac...

The HP Cloud Recovery Tool allows you to download recovery software to a USB flash drive:

In order to make a full Windows image backup a practical solution is to use a third party software like Macrium Reflect (Free or Home edition) combined with cloud storage like OneDrive, Google Drive, or Dropbox.

Many other solutions available on the Microsoft Store.

    1. Create a System Image (with Macrium Reflect)

    https://www.macrium.com/reflectfree

    • Install and Launch Macrium Reflect
    • Select your system drive (C: and system reserved partitions)
    • Click “Create an image of the partitions required to backup and restore Windows”.
    • Choose Destination Folder
    • Save it temporarily to a local drive (you’ll upload it later to the cloud).
    • Start the Backup Process
    • You’ll get a .mrimg file – this is your system image.

    1. Upload the Image to Cloud Storage
    • Compress it to save space (optional).
    • Upload it to Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, or your preferred cloud service.
    • Alternatively, use cloud backup tools like Backblaze or pCloud for large storage.
    1. Create a Macrium Reflect Rescue Media (USB or ISO)
    • In Macrium Reflect, go to “Other Tasks > Create Rescue Media”.
    • Choose a USB drive or generate an ISO file.
    • Boot from this USB when needed for recovery.
    1. Recover from Cloud When Needed
    • Boot from the Macrium Reflect USB Rescue Disk.
    • Connect to the internet or download the image from your cloud account via another device and copy it to a USB drive.
    • Use the “Browse for image file” option in Macrium to select the backup image (.mrimg).
    • Restore the system.
