Massive errors after installing windows updates on April 2025

On April 11th 2025, an update got automatically installed in my Lenovo laptop (I have Windows 11 version 24H2), and everything got messed up (no OneDrive, Word nor many other apps working).

Nothing worked as soon as I start the computer, I get error messages. I can't remember the exact text, but it was something like "windows can't access this device..." and then "oneDrive can't be opened, restart, and if issue continues, reinstall". I tried restarting, reinstalling, etc... and wasted a whole day. NOTHING WORKED, and I had to reinstall Windows11 new.

Today April 18th 2025, the update got automatically reinstalled, and same mess. I'm not even going to try anything else, I'm reinstalling WIndows 11 new, without these updates.

It's definitely this update messing everything up.

Can you please fix these windows updates bugs?

Very upset user.

    Hello ,

I’m here to help you in resolving your issue

If you're reinstalling Windows 11 again, then pause updates immediately:

Go to Settings > Windows Update

Click Pause for 5 weeks (or as long as allowed)

This stops the April update from reinstalling again automatically.

Or you can just uninstall latest updates from Settings > Windows Update > Update History > Uninstall Updates > You can uninstall recent updates.
