as about as brief as I can be without leaving anything out as to the changes I've done to my system here i go. My audio stopped working after a restart of my computer, i noticed that my volume mixer had a mute symbol after start up. after going into my sound settings i found that no audio devices where being detected, after some trouble shooting and following a few online guides of similar issues i found a guide saying to check if windows audio was running under services. It was not i got it running and everything appears to be okay visually with the fix. But now the output devices shown in my sound settings are not sending audio to my headset, and i am clueless of what i should be doing next.

If none of the solutions work, a System Restore might be helpful. Keep in mind that this process will uninstall programs and drivers added since the restore point was established, but your files will be safe.

Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box.

    Type "rstrui.exe" and press Enter.

The System Restore window will open. Click "Next."

Select a restore point from a date when your computer was working correctly.

    Click "Next," then "Finish."

Your computer will restart, and the system will be restored to the selected restore point.

I have tried the three fixes you mentioned above, resetting my computer and test each time with no luck. one thing I do want to point out is that no programs with audio show up in my volume mixer, i dont know if this is because the computer isnt able to connect to my headset or if something to do with the volume mixer itself is the issue.

    Thanks for the screenshots.

Firstly, I suggest that you disconnect your headset from the computer, then reconnect it.

Make sure it is enabled by doing the following:

Press the Windows key + R, type mmsys.cpl, and click OK.

    Go to the Playback tab.

Right-click your headset and select Enable.

Next, press the Windows key + X and select Device Manager.

Expand Sound, Video, and Game Controllers.

Right-click your headset or all any audio-related device and choose Uninstall.

Do the same under Audio Inputs and Outputs.

Restart your computer (not shutdown), then check if the issue persists.

If that doesn't fix the issue, download and install the audio driver from the links below. Restart your computer after each installation and check again.

Hi, I'm Estrella. I'll do my best to help you.

Before we proceed with troubleshooting, let's check some additional information to help resolve the issue:

    1. What is the make and model of your device?

In the search bar, type MSINFO32 and hit Enter.

Please share a screenshot of that window.

    1. Press Windows + X and choose Device Manager.

Expand Sound, Video, and Game Controllers.

Do the same for the Audio Inputs and Outputs.

Take a screenshot and share it here.

    1. Is your headset connected via Bluetooth or wired (USB or jack)?
