What is the impact of not getting Dell drivers update on Microsoft Windows 11?

For the past two weeks, I noticed that Dell don't allow me to download drivers automatically. Is this affect Microsoft Windows 11? Can I disregard Dell updates as my laptop doing very well with Microsoft updates? Although I can download Dell drivers manually but I don't know the reason for not getting Dell updates as before. except of forcing clients to buy new laptops or extend the services. I do appreciate your kind help.

    Thanks. I do exactly understand what you wrote about. My problem that Dell drivers update was not working and doesn't allow me to update. However, I finally solved the problem and big thank you for Microsoft restore point and completely fixed the problem.

    I'm Rodrigo and I'll help you.

    Usually, driver updates fix bugs and add features, but if your device is working well, not updating drivers will not affect it negatively.

    It is good to keep your drivers up to date, and Windows updates many drivers automatically.

    Win11 by default only installs critical security updates, unless you made the mistake of selecting “Get latest updates” which includes drivers.

    See your laptop/PC makers support to update both bios and ALL drivers.

    There should be a shortcut to that makers update utility on your system.

    Then set Bios to defaults & Pwr to balanced. At the end of the day shutdown, do not leave in sleep.

    Do NOT update from any other source inc Device Manager

    You only need to set the Advanced options for notify & Time, then leave win update to do its own thing.

    You use the Dell update utility for bios/drivers, their support site even has a diagnostics utility

    On one of the Dell devices here I get a notification from Dell when any updates are available
