Hello ,
I’m here to help you in resolving your issue
It looks like it is caused by third-party software, typically related to Lenovo, Dell, or HP utilities, or malware/adware.
Identify the Source
1: Right-click on the Taskbar > Task Manager.
2: Go to the Processes tab and look for desktopextension.exe.
3: Right-click > Open file location, this will show the folder where the file is stored.
4: If the file is in a system or program folder (like C:\Program Files), it might be a legitimate program.
5: If it’s in a suspicious folder (e.g., C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\Temp), it could be malware.
Disable from Startup
1: Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc).
2: Go to Startup Apps.
3: Look for desktopextension.exe.
4: Right-click > Disable.
5: Restart your PC and check if the error is gone.
If you are able to find the software name related to it , you can uninstall it and see if the error disappears.
