Thank you for bringing this to our attention, I understand that you need help with connecting your laptop to the WIFI with an error for missing Wi-Fi icon. Please try to follow these steps to change the missing Wi-Fi icon on your Windows Computer.
CIf the Wi-Fi icon is missing in Windows 11, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
- Restart the Wi-Fi Service:
- Press
Windows + R, typeservices.msc, and hit Enter. - Locate WLAN AutoConfig in the list of services.
- Right-click it and select Restart. Ensure the startup type is set to Automatic.
- Press
- Enable the Wi-Fi Adapter:
- Press
Windows + R, typencpa.cpl, and hit Enter. - In the Network Connections window, right-click the Wi-Fi adapter and select Enable if it's disabled.
- Press
- Run the Network Troubleshooter:
- Open Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
- Run the Network Adapter troubleshooter to detect and fix issues.
- Check Group Policy Settings:
- Press
Windows + R, typegpedit.msc, and hit Enter. - Navigate to User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Start Menu and Taskbar.
- Ensure the policy setting Remove the network icon is set to Disabled.
- Press
- Update or Reinstall Drivers:
- Open Device Manager and expand Network Adapters.
- Right-click your Wi-Fi adapter and select Update driver or Uninstall device (then restart your PC to reinstall).
- Restart Your PC:
- Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve the issue.
