Browsers won’t work on my computer. How to fix this?

Out of nowhere, chrome started getting really slow on my computer. After it still refused to work after doing some basic troubleshooting like running diagnostics and restarting the computer, I realized the problem was deeper. The apps I have downloaded on my computer work fine, it’s just the browsers that are super slow and are refusing to connect to the internet, despite my good connection. I’ve updated my computer, restarted the router, cleared the cache, checked my firewall and antivirus software, uninstalled and reinstalled my adapter, ran diagnostics, reset my network, and more, all to no avail. I also know it’s not a problem with background processes because I have removed plenty of those and it still just keeps buffering. Can anybody help? This is very frustrating.

    Hi,

Kayece here. I will be happy to assist you today.

I understand that you have an issue with internet connection on your browsers. Does this happen on other devices too or just this specific device?

Have you tried all the browsers? Does it have the same issue?

In the meantime, please try the following solutions. If the steps do not help, proceed to the next one.

Run the following command in Command Prompt (Admin). Follow the steps below to do so.

    Press Windows Key + X.

    Click on Command prompt (Admin).

Type the following commands, and hit Enter after each command:

netsh int tcp set heuristics disabled

netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled

netsh int tcp set global rss=enabled

netsh winsock reset and press Enter

netsh int ip reset and press Enter

    ipconfig /release and press Enter

    ipconfig /renew and press Enter

    ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter

After all has been processed, Restart your device

*Perform sfc and run the DISM command.
