a product key to activate my windows 8

We are sorry. But we don't sell product keys on this

forum neither. Micrsoft sells this stuff too. Not only

for Wins 8 and 8.1 - But for wins 10 as well

Why do you need a product key for,.? First of all tell us

what's your, real windows operating system. Wins 8 or 8.1

using Control Panel - To check if my Wins OS is activated

click on - System and Security >> select - System. Scroll down

to the "Windows Activation" section. if it says "Windows is activated"

your Windows OS version is activated. You may Not need a Product key

Also, using the - Command prompt as (Admin) type this code

slmgr/xpr and press - Enter :- if the Wins 8 : 8.1 is

activated. will say "This machine is Permanente activated"

Note : To open - Command Prompt as Admin and Control panel

in Wins 8 : Hold down the [Wins key + X] and click them on the list

I got the same error on the same day with my Windows 8.1 Pro that I upgraded from a volume license key back around 2012. I've been using the computer continuously all the years. The error message is:

" The product key is being used on another PC. Please try a different key. "

Error code: 0xC004C008

Error description:

The activation server reported that the product key has exceeded it's unlock limit.

When I ran the command:

slmgr /dli

the status says" Notification "

I entered my original key and it won't accept it. I see there is no longer an option to activate windows by phone. Also, Microsoft always promised that in the event activation was no longer available they would issue a special key so this would not happen.

HELP! I know this windows is old and I have windows 10 on my other computer but because I have used it for so many years I wanted to keep using it so when I got a new windows pc I could look back to see how software was setup and where files are located.
