So, ive got a new monitor lately, its a lg with no speakers whatsoever, and ive been wanting to change my sound ouput to my second monitor, which HAS speakers built in, so when im with friends, i can just use it so everyone can hear what we doing or hearing.

The problem is: when my second monito turns on, it doesnt show any sing of audio connection, even more, its like if the first monitor overwrites the audi data from the second, and just wont show even if the audio in the second monitor is a thing.

So, is there a command i can do to change that? no windows normal settings option made me capable of changing this, and i need an answer asap pls

    Hello ,

I’m here to help you in resolving your issue

Force Windows to Use the Second Monitor’s Audio :

    1. Right-click on the sound icon in the taskbar > Sound settings
    2. Scroll to Output, click the dropdown under Choose where to play sound
    3. If your second monitor (with speakers) appears > select it.

If it doesn’t show up: Go to Control Panel > Sound

    1. Under Playback tab, see if your second monitor shows up (might be called:

"Digital Audio (HDMI)" or your monitor brand name)

    1. If it’s disabled:

Right-click in blank space > Enable “Show Disabled Devices”

Right-click the second monitor > Enable > Set as Default Device.

If your second monitor doesn't even show up in Sound settings, make sure:

    1. It’s connected via HDMI or DisplayPort (not VGA or DVI)
    2. The monitor’s internal speakers are enabled in its on-screen menu
    3. The HDMI/DP cable supports audio (most do).

You can right-click on the desktop > Display settings and make your second monitor the primary, which sometimes makes Windows default to its audio.

    Hello,

First, please try connecting a 3.5mm audio cable (AUX cable) from your PC to your monitor and see if you can get sound.

If not, switch from DP to HDMI and vice versa and see if that works.

Then, make sure that your speakers are set to the correct setting on your monitor.

Let me know how this goes.
