Windows 11 Desktop Won't Detect iPhone 15

Either it's a windows 11 problem or my computer has a problem. When I plug in my iPhone charger into both my computer and phone, it plays the sound that it was plugged in, and starts charging, but that's all that happens. No pop ups on my phone, it's not seen in file explorer, and etc. I figured it was a windows 11 problem so I busted out my old windows 10 laptop and surprisingly enough, it works just fine. When on windows 10 I see the allow access to photos pop up and the trust this computer pop up. I'm not sure how to go about solving this problem.

Okay, Manually Install the Correct Apple Driver

1: Right-click on "iPhone (Composite Parent)" in Device Manager.

2: Select "Update driver" > "Browse my computer for drivers."

3: Click "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer."

4: Look for "Apple Mobile Device USB Driver" in the list.

5: Click Next, let it install, and restart your PC.

6: Reconnect your iPhone and check if File Explorer or iTunes detects it.

If you don’t see "Apple Mobile Device USB Driver", install it manually:

1: Unplug your iPhone from the PC.

    2: Press Win + R, then type:

    %ProgramFiles%\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers

    and hit Enter.

    3: Right-click usbaapl64.inf or usbaapl.inf and select Install.

4: Restart your PC, plug in your iPhone, and check if it works.

If you are still having the issue, once please contact Apple support team and check if there is any issues on their end.

Thank you very much for the suggestion.

When I did what you said nothing seemed to change. My computer makes the sound of it connecting when I plug the phone in but still no pop ups or my phone appearing in file explorer. Is there anything else I can try to solve this issue?

    Hello ,

I’m here to help you in resolving your issue

Windows 11 requires iTunes to properly recognize your iPhone. If you haven’t installed it yet or have an outdated version:

    Uninstall iTunes (if installed)

1: Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps

2: Find iTunes, Apple Mobile Device Support, Apple Software Update, and uninstall them.

3: Download iTunes from below link

4: Install iTunes and restart your PC.

    Please check if this detects.
