How do I hide the voice typing launcher bar on top of the screen when I am not typing?

I have turned on voice access typing but it leaves a bar on top of the screen that I just can't seem to turn off without completely disabling voice access typing? How do I make it so that the voice access typing launcher bar at the top of the screen only appears when I am focused on a text box?

Lol Typical Microsoft elitist response. Microsoft KNOWS no one like the bar but instead of admitting they made a egregious error they ignore it . People have been complaining about the obtuseness of the voice access bar since its inception and as Microsoft always does. NO DONT ADMIT WE MADE A MISTAKE!

There are two different things in windows 11. One is the persistent voice access typing bar, That you enable via system settings the other, Is the voice typing dialog that pops up when you press win + H. However, these two different options I think. win + H can be popped up and removed pretty easily, and that is what I would prefer to use rather than the persistent typing bar but it doesn't have the automatic punctuation enabled all the time. I notice that automatic punctuation is not enabled for the voice access typing bar also many times, even though I've gone to the settings icon and enabled automatic punctuation.

Well, It is annoying on Chrome because I can't see a whole page or fill out a form without having to scroll down, very annoying. HOWEVER! JUST CLICK ON THE THREE DOTS ON THE RIGHT, find zoom and click the box to the right of the zoom indicators. Bam!

Go to your apps, uninstall Voice Typing. You can reinstall it when they've corrected this annoying programme error, or indeed you can install and uninstall it whenever you need it. The alternative - having it in your face all the time - is unacceptable.

    Dear Salil Surendran,

Thank you for reaching out with your query.

I understand that the persistent Voice Access launcher bar is causing inconvenience when you're not actively using voice typing, and you’re looking for a way to hide it unless you're focused on a text box.

At this moment, there is no built-in feature in Windows that allows the Voice Access launcher bar to automatically hide when you're not typing. Unfortunately, the launcher bar remains visible as long as Voice Access is active.

Since the feature you are asking for is not available yet, I recommend submitting your feedback directly to the Microsoft development team. Your input can help guide future updates. Here’s how you can submit your feedback:

    1. Press Windows + F to open the Feedback Hub.
    2. Click on Give new feedback.
    3. Provide a detailed description of the issue you’re facing, explaining that you'd like an option to hide the Voice Access launcher bar when not focused on a text box.

Microsoft regularly reviews feedback submitted by users to improve features and functionality, and this could be helpful for adding the feature you need.

I understand how important it is to have a smoother experience with voice typing, and I appreciate your feedback on this matter. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, feel free to let me know.

    Best Regards,

Martin | Microsoft Community Support Specialist
