switching to AHCI using the BIOS menu

I am having issues regarding switching from RST to AHCI. I tried a bunch of stuff like, using CMD as an admin, changing the values of multiple directories in regedit, running safe mode etc... every time i switch from RST to AHCI in BIOS, it removes windows from the possible boot options on my computer, forcing me to change it back to RST for it to appear again. I am on windows 10, using an MSI Titan Pro GT75vr 7rf. Any help would be appriciated, i am also open to somehow saving my setup as an iso to then reinstall windows this time using AHCI instead of RST without touching any of my other drives, thanks.

As always, be careful when editing the registry and do the following:

While in Windows in RAID mode make the following registry change

Start REGEDIT and look for this line :

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\storahci\StartOverride
Change the 0 DWORD value from 3 to 0.

Then reboot into the BIOS and make the change to AHCI.

On the next startup Windows will load using AHCI mode.

so, yeah nothing changed. I paste the command, reboot the pc, go into BIOS, switch to AHCI and then do another reboot only to find myself back at the BIOS menu but this time with windows missing from the booting options, i then revert the changes and back at square one.
