Hello,
I wanted to provide some feedback regarding your suggestion to adjust brightness using the GPU control panel (in my case, NVIDIA). While I understand that this method is commonly recommended, I’ve noticed that it does not effectively resolve my issue. Specifically, when I make changes to the brightness settings via the GPU control panel, the results are quite extreme. The display becomes either significantly darker or excessively bright, and the overall image quality is compromised.
These changes also appear to alter color accuracy and contrast in a way that is not desirable, especially for tasks that require precise visual clarity. My intention was to make a subtle and balanced adjustment to the brightness level, not to drastically change the tone or color rendering of the display. Unfortunately, the GPU settings seem to affect the color filters more than the actual luminance.
As such, this method does not provide a satisfactory solution. I believe a more suitable approach would be either an adjustment directly through the monitor’s on-screen display (OSD) menu or via Windows’ built-in brightness controls — though the latter is often unavailable on desktop setups with external monitors.
If you have any alternative recommendations that preserve both image fidelity and achieve balanced brightness control, I’d be quite happy to hear them.
