Trying to get NOX working on W11 after update to 24H2

Hello,

Before I updated my pc to W11 24H2 I was able to run Bluestack and NOX on my pc, I had no problems with the Virtual machine or Hyper-V or something like that.

Now, after the update, I can run Bluestacks but NOX won't start, it keeps saying 'the virtual machine failed to start, please fix it' and I can click stop or de-activate Hyper-V. Now before my update, I believe I worked in 23H2, I managed to find Hyper-V via configurations, programms , Enable or disable Windows items.

Now when I go to this screen it goes to the screen where the listing of parts should be listed but the list remains empty and the screen keeps telling me to wait.

Is there a way to enable/disable Hyper-V in W11 when I don't get that listing anymore?

    Hello,

Thanks for this explanation. However, for the nointegritychecks and xn alwaysoff I get an error, protected by secureboot/policy and cannot be changed.

    Hello Merek.Z,

Is there likely to be any workaround or update to fix this?

I friend of mine is running Windows 11 Home, 23H2, fully updated, with Memory Integrity off. In this case Hyper-V and VM platform are both visible in features and are off. For him, Nox runs without any problems.

Without any solution, I am considering downloading and installing 23H2 on my new 24H2 machine on which Nox does not run.

    Hello,

Thanks for replying but that's exactly what's not working. As you can see on my screenprint (unfortunately in Dutch but I guess you can recognise it) it's the Windows features op-up page that stays blank and searching for features contiuously. Even when I close my pc, restart and try to open the main interface page it won't come back to that page, it stays at the pop-up screen forever. So I cannot even check if there's an option for Hyper-V, let alone disable it.

    Hi Helga1963

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community

Learn how to enable/disable Hyper-V for your problem

    Enabling Hyper-V

    Enable via “Windows Features” (GUI)

Press Win + S, search for “Enable or Disable Windows Features” and select the best matching result.

In the pop-up window, find “Hyper-V” and check its checkbox (including Administrative Tools and Platforms).

    Click OK.

Restart your computer when prompted after completing the installation.

    Disabling Hyper-V

    Disable via Windows Features (GUI)

Open Enable or Disable Windows Features (same steps as above).

    Uncheck “Hyper-V”.

    Click OK and reboot.

Fix Windows Feature List Loading Problems

When the “Enable or disable Windows features” list is empty:

Check the Windows Modules Installer service

    Win + R → type services.msc

Locate the Windows Modules Installer service

Make sure its status is Running and Startup Type is Manual

Contact me if you need anything else.

    Best wishes
