Hi,
I bought a second hand laptop from PC Traders (NZ) it has Windows 11 installed, everything is fine, except sound and having to push keys more than once but that's likely something to do with the keyboard itself, but you never know. (I now know to have shops show me everything works fine before walking out the door).
No sound through speakers or headphones.
Between CoPilot and I, I'm sure I've tried everything.
I have:
I'm starting to think it could be a hardware issue.
It's the long weekend, so I have to wait till Tuesday to get assistance from the shop. In the meantime, I'm trying everything to get this fixed, stayed up till 2am trying to fix this issue.
I find it funny watching YouTube videos 'How to fix sound problem' and you know they're talking because they sit for a few seconds/minutes doing nothing lol and I'm just thinking "Mate, hurry up, I can't hear you that's why I'm here, why are you talking, get to the point."
So, that's what I've done and where I'm at. The only thing I haven't done is rollback to an earlier version of Windows 11, I don't even know if it's possible, but I do know I'll find out one way or another because the option isn't there in recovery (which is how I reset the thing).
Any help/advice will be absolutely appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi Estrella,
Thank you so much for your reply. I will definitely give that a go, and be back with an update :)
Hi, I'm Estrella. I'll do my best to help you.
Based on what you shared, it really sounds like you have tried everything to get the sound working. Since you already reset the PC, reinstalled the drivers including the one from the manufacturer, checked the services, and even looked through the BIOS, you have already done all the important steps. At this point, it might be a hardware issue, especially if the volume bar moves but there is still no sound. If you have not yet, try checking the playback devices in sound settings. Sometimes the system sends audio to the wrong output. If possible, you can also try running the HP UEFI diagnostics before Windows loads to test the audio hardware. If nothing works, your best option might be to take it back to the shop where you bought it. They should have at least a warranty, even for second hand laptops.
