Hello everyone, thanks for reading.

A couple of weeks ago I upgraded my PC and everything seemed great until I tried playing Fortnite. Here’s the full rundown of the problem:

  • Motherboard: ASUS Prime B650M-A II
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9700X (AM5)
  • RAM: 32 GB (2×16 GB) DDR5-5800 MT/s
  • GPU: Radeon RX 580 2048 SP (yes, I know there’s a bottleneck, but that’s not the issue here)
  • Storage: 1 TB WD Green SN350 NVMe
  • OS: Windows 11 Pro 24H2 (fresh install right after the problems started)

  • Fortnite ran great the first times after the upgrade, then the next errors happened:
    1. EAC Internal Error: 0xEAC2014
    2. BSOD “SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION” pointing to EasyAntiCheat_EOS.dll
  • Since this was getting serious and I thought that maybe some leftover drivers where giving problems with EAC, I reinstalled windows:
  • After a full Windows reinstall, the very half of the first match gave me PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA.
  • Now every time I launch (outside of cloud gaming), I get to the “Initializing…” screen and then SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION (Pointing to ntoskrnl)

  1. Clean Boot (disabling all non-Microsoft services) it delayed the crash and after opening the game, Service Control asked me for permission, but still didn't fix the issue.
  2. Driver updates (GPU, chipset, audio, storage, etc.) to latest versions + clean reinstalls of display drivers.
  3. Reinstalled Windows 11 Pro 24H2 completely from scratch.
  4. Reinstalled Epic Games Launcher, Fortnite, and EasyAntiCheat.
  5. Ran chkdsk & sfc /scannow to repair disk/system files.
  6. Ran Windows Memory Diagnostic, no RAM errors.
  7. Updated BIOS to v3222 (Epic Support noted some AMD boards that are not updated cause BSODs, didn't solve anyhting).
  8. Reinstalled all Visual C++ Redistributables.
  9. Verified EasyAntiCheat server connectivity.

Information that may help you discard common fixes that I've already tried.
  • Cloud gaming (Xbox) works perfectly, only local installs crash.
  • Other games, even those using EasyAntiCheat (e.g. Dead by Daylight) run flawlessly.
  • Any other game, app or aspect of the system works flawlessly.
  • No Citrix, no Intel Ultimate Graphics.
  • No device on the setup is Overclocked.
  • EXPO and other BIOS modifications are off, after the update everything turned back to default.
  • I've already sent several tickets to EpicGames Support, the only valid information they gave was about the BIOS Update, which didn't fix the problem, they just tell me to check disk and install vcredist.

Thank you again for reading, I hope all this information has any use.

I already did. They're not able to help with the problem, I saw some ppl getting help about fortnite in this forum, maybe it's something else and not the game.
That's why I'm asking here, maybe if someone with knowledge checks the minidumps they can help me get a solution, anyway Thank you for your answer.
