    Ferds_N,

Thanks for the Autoruns info. Looked at all and not found. I did reset Chrome and add extensions 1 at a time. The cluprit appears to have been hiding in extension Screen Lens – Google Lens for PC, from the Chrome Web Store. No details. It's gone for now. I'll let you know if it reappears. In its last effort to stay on restart it blocked the hello sign-in box and Num Lock. 3d restart was the charm.

    Thanks for yourr assistance.

    Regards, Charles

    Please try Autoruns.

Search for flexi or anything referencing that UUID or URL

Look in the Logon, Scheduled Tasks, and Services tabs

Instructions on how to install and use Autoruns:

To install and run Sysinternals Autoruns on Windows 11, download it from the official Microsoft Sysinternals page at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/.... Scroll down and click the Download Autoruns link to get the ZIP file. Once the file is downloaded, locate it in your Downloads folder, right-click on it, and choose Extract All. Select a destination folder, such as your Desktop or a tools folder, and click Extract to extract the contents.

Next, navigate to the extracted folder and double-click on Autoruns64.exe (for 64-bit systems, which most Windows 11 installations use) or Autoruns.exe (for 32-bit systems). When prompted by User Account Control (UAC), click Yes to allow the program to make changes to your device. Upon opening Autoruns for the first time, you’ll see a license agreement. Click Agree to proceed.

Autoruns will display a comprehensive list of all startup items by default. To make the list more manageable, go to the Options menu and select Hide Microsoft Entries to exclude core Windows components. Additionally, you can enhance accuracy by selecting Options > Scan Options, enabling Verify Code Signatures, and refreshing the list by pressing F5.

Review the various tabs in Autoruns, such as Logon, Services, and Drivers, to analyze startup items. To disable an item from starting up, uncheck the box next to it. However, exercise caution and avoid disabling entries unless you’re sure of their function, as critical system components are also listed. For clarity, you can right-click any entry and select Search Online to research it.

Optionally, save the current state of your startup items by clicking File > Save. This saved file serves as a baseline and allows you to revert changes later if needed. Once you’ve finished managing your startup items, close Autoruns. For best results, always run the program as an administrator by right-clicking Autoruns64.exe and selecting Run as administrator. Remember to be careful when making changes to avoid disrupting essential system processes.

    Thanks Ferds_N

Not there either. Next would be a search of the registry. Was hoping for a way to avoid that.

Hi, I am an Independent Advisor.

Let me help you with this issue.

I understand you are having problems finding FlexiApps to uninstall.

Have you tried checking the Control Panel?

Go to the Start Menu, type Control Panel,

    Open the Control Panel.

    Click on Programs.

Click on Programs and Features to view a list of installed applications.

Look for Flexiapps, right-click, and then uninstall.
