To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to formally report that my Microsoft account has been compromised and taken over by an unauthorized third party. Below is a detailed summary of the incident:

Account Information (prior to hack):

  • Microsoft Account Email (original): ******@gmail.com
  • Approximate Date of Compromise: May 19, 2025
  • Name on the Account: Luis Francisco Rivera Cruz

Incident Description:

On or around May 20, 2025, I noticed suspicious activity associated with my Microsoft account. Shortly thereafter, I received email notifications indicating that the primary email address on the account was being changed. Despite these alerts, I was unable to prevent the changes in time.

The attacker successfully altered the account’s primary email address, effectively locking me out of my own account. I can provide email evidence showing:

  • Confirmation of the email change request.
  • Security alerts from Microsoft notifying me of unusual login activity.
  • Attempts I made to recover the account.

Additionally, I managed to identify the new email address the hacker used and was, at one point, able to gain temporary access to that email account. I then changed its password, hoping to disrupt the hacker’s control. Unfortunately, I was unable to revert the Microsoft account’s email back to my original because my old email address has since been closed or is no longer recognized by the system.

I have attempted multiple account recovery requests through Microsoft’s recovery forms but have not had success, likely due to the changes made by the unauthorized party.

Supporting Evidence Available:

  • Screenshots of all emails received from Microsoft related to the hack.
  • Time-stamped logs or forwarded emails showing login alerts and changes made.
  • Proof of ownership of the original email address (e.g., emails, subscriptions tied to the account).
  • Any additional personal information you may need to verify my identity.

Request:

I respectfully request that Microsoft investigates this incident and assists in recovering access to my account. I am the original and rightful owner and can provide any further verification or evidence necessary.

Please let me know the next steps I should take to regain access or to escalate this matter.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Sincerely,
Luis Francisco Rivera Cruz

    Dear Darhyl Mayte Amizola,

I am writing to request assistance with recovering my Microsoft Store account, which is essential for accessing my previously purchased licenses.

All of my purchases were made directly through the Microsoft Store. I have successfully recovered most of the accounts that were linked to my previous email address: ******@gamil.com. However, the Microsoft account associated with the Store purchases was changed by an unauthorized party, and I no longer have access to it.

Recovering this account is critical for me to regain access to my licensed products. I kindly request that you assist me in restoring access to the Microsoft Store account so that I can retrieve my purchases.

I am happy to provide any necessary documentation or verification to confirm ownership of the account and the associated purchases.

Thank you for your time and support.

    Sincerely,
    Luis F Rivera

    Dear Darhyl Mayte Amizola,

I have identified that a hacker has changed the account credentials and is using the email address ******@editrsmail.ru.

While I was able to initiate a password reset through Microsoft’s account recovery process, the verification code is being sent to the hacker’s email address. As a result, I am unable to complete the recovery process or regain access to my account.

Given these circumstances, I believe Microsoft should have the capability to verify my identity through alternative means and help me secure and recover my account. I kindly request that this situation be escalated so the necessary steps can be taken to revoke the unauthorized user's access and restore my account.

Thank you for your assistance. I am available to provide any additional information or verification required.

    Sincerely,

    Luis F RIvera

    I appreciate the response.

    Unfortunately, that is correct.

The only way to regain access to them is to recover the account where the licenses were purchased.

    Best regards,

    Darhyl

As a result of losing access to my Microsoft account, I have also lost access to all my purchased content and licenses, including my copy of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, which I paid $100.00 for. This represents a significant financial loss, and I am deeply concerned that all other digital purchases tied to the account are now inaccessible as well.

    Hey Luis!

Nice to meet you! I'm Darhyl, an Independent Advisor.

The only way to recover a hacked account is through the official Microsoft website:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-bil...

If it doesn't work, and since the email address has been replaced by the hacker, I'm afraid there is no other working method to recover the Microsoft account, and Microsoft Support cannot help either.

Thank you for your kindness and understanding.

    Best regards,

    Darhyl
