As for what led up to this error

I ran sfc and dism scans and then ran these commands

StartFragmentnet stop bits
net stop wuauserv
net stop cryptsvc
ren %systemroot%\softwaredistribution softwaredistribution.bak
ren %systemroot%\system32\catroot2 catroot2.bak
net start bits
net start wuauserv
net start cryptsvcEndFragment

to mitigate a different set error codes (0x800f081f and 0x80248007)

However these solutions would not allow me to download the update

I'm on a Lenovo IdeaPad3

Is there a solution to this problem without involving re-installing Windows?
