Hello tritratrallala,
I’m Pau, your Independent Advisor. Thank you for reaching out.
This is often related to missing or incorrect drivers. I’ll walk you through the steps to fully resolve this issue.
Please follow the steps below.
- Disconnect the Bluetooth dongle
Before doing anything, unplug the CSR dongle from your computer.
- Remove all old or incorrect Bluetooth drivers
- Click Start, type Device Manager, then open it.
- In Device Manager, expand the Bluetooth section.
- Right-click and uninstall any of the following if they appear: > Generic Bluetooth Adapter > Cambridge Silicon Radio Bluetooth > CSR8510 A10
- If you see an option to Delete the driver software for this device, check the box and proceed.
- Also scroll down to Universal Serial Bus controllers and uninstall any devices that mention CSR.
- Once all related drivers are removed, restart your computer.
- Install the correct CSR Bluetooth driver
- After the restart, reconnect the CSR dongle to your computer.
- Windows may attempt to install a default driver, but this usually does not work correctly for CSR.
- To install the correct driver, you need the CSR Harmony Bluetooth Stack.
You can search on Google using this safe search term:
CSR Harmony Bluetooth Stack Driver site:asus.com
(Replace asus.com with your computer manufacturer's website if needed.)
- Download the driver from a trusted manufacturer support page and install it.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup, then restart your PC.
4 Confirm Bluetooth is working
- Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
- Ensure Bluetooth is turned on.
- Try pairing a device to verify functionality.
I hope this fully resolves the issue. If there’s anything else I can assist you with, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
Warm regards,
Pau
