Keybboard problems after windows 11 update

I've observed that recently, after updating my Windows 11 laptop, the keyboard occasionally doesn't function when I turn it on, forcing me to restart the laptop. This issue occurred once before but was resolved after an update. However, it has started happening again. Is there a way to prevent this from occurring?

It is an intermittent issue for me, I have 3 older laptops where I have encountered this. Sorry, I have no permanent fix just these 2 workarounds:

    1. Reboot, this usually (temporarily) fixes the issue.
    2. Attach an external keyboard (usually USB) to the system, that gets me in. Then when I unplug the USB keyboard, the main keyboard on the laptop starts working again (ANNOYING! But, oh well...if you don't have an external keyboard, go to a discount parts store, GoodWill, Salvation Army etc, get a working USB keyboard cheap).

I have uninistalled and reinstalled several times. Every time the laptop goes to sleep, it comes back with the same keybaord errors. I can't reinstall drivers every time I use the device. Microsoft was no help. This has been since the latest update only. Please help :-)

Hi, I've uninstalled my keyboard devices twice now but F2 only opens the screen brightnes reduction toggle - I can no longer press F2 to rename a file or folder. Is there a fix?

    regards,Nick
