Hello,
I am on a dell laptop with an only ssd as my boot drive. I want to extend my C drive with the unallocated space but it is not adjecent to my C drive. It used to be a dell system recovery image hidden partition. I know that it can be done by using a third party tool but I don't know if its safe or not so i didn't attempt to do it. Also I found a workaround to just delete the partition in the middle and then extend the C drive, but as you can see in the below image its a windows RE tools partition. Please refer the image below.
So if I was to delete the WINRETOOLS partition how do I make it again ?
Since I have 2 ways to do this work which one should I use ? Also if i can just do it using the third party tool, which tool should I use and how to do it.
Thank you.

Then you should be able to delete the recovery partition that is partition 6, to merge the two areas at the end. Then you should be able to move the active recovery partition 4 to the end of the drive. Here's a discussion of that: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/discussions...
Thank you. I tried the easeUS software and it was paid. So i installed the minitool partition wizard insted and then moved the partition. After that checked if everything is fine by restaring and then expanded the C drive using the windows disk management tool.
Hi. I'm Brian and I will do my best to help you.
You can't extend into a non-adjacent area using tools built into Windows, but there are third-party partition tools, some of them free, that can help.
Since your C partition and your unused space partition have a recovery partition between them, you need to determine if that is the active recovery partitioon or the one at the end of the drive is the active one. Open an administrator command line prompt and use the command
reagentc /info
to determine if the one after the C drive or the one at the end of the drive is the active one. If the one following C is not the active one, you can use disk management to delete that partition. This will make that apace and the unallocated space following C available to use to extend C.
