    Hi Taiwo,

I'm Yve. I’d be happy to assist you with this and thanks for the details.

It sounds like you're trying to use the SIM slot on your PC but it's not picking up the SIM. Let's walk through a few simple checks to figure this out together.

First, just a couple of quick questions to help me narrow it down:

    • What is the exact make and mode of you PC?
    • Has the sim slot ever worked before?
    • Does the sim card work in a phone or another device?
    • Any error message pop up when you insert it?

These details can really help, but while you check that, here's what you can also try now:

    1. Check the SIM card

Make sure it's a nano or micro SIM, depending on what your PC supports. Also, double check that it's active and works in another device (like you phone).

    1. Reinsert the SIM properly

Remove the SIM and put it back in slowly. Some slots are a bit picky, and the SIM has to sit just right.

    1. Turn off Airplane Mode
    • Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Airplane mode
    • Make sure it's turned off
    1. Update your drivers
    • Right-click the Start button and choose Device Manager
    • Expand Network adapters and look for anything like Mobile Broadband or WWAN
    • Right-click and choose Update driver
    1. Check Windows Settings
    • Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Cellular
    • See if you can find a network listed
    • If you see "Insert SIM" or "No service", that's a sign it's not detecting it yet
    1. Restart your PC

It's simple, but a reboot sometimes helps everything click into place.

If none of that works, I've got a few more suggestions, like checking the cellular service settings, using a different SIM, or reinstalling drivers.

Let me know what you find and I'll guide you from there.

    Best regards,

    Yve (Independent Advisor)
