Hello JOKER. I'm Clive an Independent Advisor. Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community.

It's incredibly frustrating when your laptop gets stuck in sleep mode, especially if it doesn't respond to the usual wake-up methods. This is a common problem, and it can be caused by various factors, from simple glitches to driver issues or power settings.

Here's a step-by-step guide to get your laptop out of sleep mode and prevent it from happening again:

    1. The Immediate Fix (Force Wake-Up)

Try these methods to force your laptop to wake up:

Press Any Key: Try pressing various keys on your keyboard, especially the Spacebar, Enter key, or any letter/number key.

Move/Click Mouse: Move your mouse or click its buttons a few times.

Press the Power Button (Quick Press): Briefly press and release the power button as if you were normally turning it on. Do not hold it down yet.

Try Ctrl+Shift+Win+B: This hotkey combination attempts to restart the graphics driver, which can sometimes resolve a black screen or unresponsive wake-up issue.

External Keyboard/Mouse: If you have a wired or wireless USB keyboard/mouse, plug it in and try to wake the laptop using it. This bypasses potential issues with the built-in keyboard/touchpad.

    1. The Force Restart (If Immediate Fixes Fail)

If the above doesn't work, you'll need to perform a force restart. Be aware that any unsaved work will be lost.

Hold the Power Button: Press and hold the power button down for about 10-15 seconds until the laptop completely shuts off (you'll usually hear the fans stop and all lights go out).

Release and Wait: Release the power button and wait for a few seconds.

Restart Normally: Press the power button again to turn your laptop back on. It should boot up from scratch.

By systematically going through these steps, you should be able to resolve your laptop getting stuck in sleep mode. Let me know if you need any further help.

    Sincerely,

    Clive

Hold down the ON/OFF button for 30 seconds, to force a "power-off".

Then, press the same button, and your computer should start normally.
