SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION Error on Windows 11 When Playing Games

Hello!

As of late, I have been having a blue screen error on my machine when I attempt to launch specific games, mainly Grand Theft Auto.

I have rolled back my windows updates, reinstalled drivers, deleted any programs causing errors in my event viewer, used sfc /scannow, chkdsk, /restorehealth, and plenty more. I am to the point where I am going to do a fresh install on my Windows OS. Is there anything that I can be doing to solve this issue?

    Hello,

    I have since deleted this .sys, however when stress testing again I was met with another BSOD. I decided to run the same verifier again and checked all drivers, even Windows ones, and was met with ‘SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED’. It is not giving me a .sys that is causing this. How should I proceed?

    "faceit.sys" is related to anticheat.

    Hello again,

    This seemed to have given me a faulty driver that was causing the BSOD, 'FACEIT.sys'. Is this the culprit? How would I go about removing this driver?

    The minidump file still do not indicate any driver or hardware causes, only memory corruption.

    Try forcing Windows to show failed drivers and produce minidump files, enable Driver Verifier for this;

    Let the BSOD happen 3 times and then see if the files were created.

    Before running Driver Verifier, create a new system restore point.


    If you have problems starting Windows after enabling Driver Verifier, follow these steps:

    Start your PC, as soon as Windows tries to load (spinning dots appear), press and hold the power button for 5 to 10 seconds to perform a forced shutdown

    Do this two or three times.

    Windows will boot into the Recovery Environment.

    Go to Troubleshoot > Advanced Option > Startup Settings and click Restart.

    When restarting, press 4 to enter safe mode.

    Open command prompt as administrator, run these two commands and restart your PC.

    verifier /reset

    verifier /bootmode resetonbootfail
