I brought my personal laptop to school & when i connected to the schools wifi it started downloading everything needed for a normal school laptop, like the lockdown browser, getting rid of certain apps, restricting it.  I have tried getting rid of most of the stuff its added but when I try to redownload the stuff i had already downloaded it continues to restrict it and says administrator removed this for security or something, and I dont know what to do.

ive looked at two similar questions on here, but it did not help, like removing it from task manager but then it says "administrator is restricting you from accessing (xyz)" and so on, deleted stuff i already had on my laptop too. i tried restarting my laptop, and it said i couldnt because its running on "Windows to go" and i had already tried looking at how to get rid of that, did not work. I am completely lost. Ive tried removing the school account if it was added, so many things but i cant access my stuff anymore.

I have a Victus, i dont know if that will change anything.

    Hello,

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft community.

I understand that your Windows 11 PC began showing restrictions and changes after connecting to your school’s Wi-Fi. It sounds like it may have automatically enrolled into the school’s device management system, which can apply settings such as app restrictions, policy enforcement, or even enable features like “Windows To Go.” Let's work through this together.

To help resolve this, I recommend reaching out to your school’s IT department. They’ll be in the best position to:

    • Confirm if your device was enrolled into their system
    • Remove it from their management
    • Help restore access to your apps and settings

Until then, try to avoid reconnecting to the school network to prevent additional policies from syncing.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

    Best wishes,
