Storage Spaces 63/64 TB max size. Pool or space?

I'm building a 24 bay media server. I'm running widows 11. So, 63 TB max size is that the pool size max? Or the Storage Space size (Volume)?

My back plane is divided into 6 planes. Each with 4 drive bays. So, I'm thinking two way mirror.

4 drive pool, 4 drive Storage Space.

So, if the max space is 63 TB per space. Usable space? then 4 20 TB Drives would give me 60 TB usable out of the 80 TB.

Then repeat that on the other planes. For a total of 6 pools, 6 storage spaces.

Total usable 360 TB.

Am I correct on the way it works?

Hello, thanks for reaching out. I'm Ace, one of the Independent Advisors. In Windows 11, the 63 TB limit applies to individual Storage Spaces (volumes) rather than the entire Storage Pool. This means that each Storage Space you create within a pool cannot exceed 63 TB, but the pool itself can be larger.

Your setup with six pools and six Storage Spaces should work as expected, with each Storage Space capped at 63 TB usable capacity. Since you're using two-way mirroring, your usable space per Storage Space will be approximately 60 TB from four 20 TB drives, accounting for redundancy.

Let me know if you have further questions.

Thanks!
