how to i play online in minecraft

I want to play Minecraft Bedrock and Java online (i want to join a friends server and be able to create my own) but when i click on multiplayer in the main menu, it tells me to change my online safety settings. So thats what i did, but turned out everything in online safety was already enabled, nothing was blocked, but i still cant play minecraft. Why?

    In case you need to activate multiplayer in the privacy settings

    1. First go to Privacy & Online
    2. Then click Xbox Live Privacy.
    3. Then click on details and customize
    4. Then click on game content.
    5. Then let everyone see your gameplay clips and captures.

    And go to " You can view and upload community creations and change it for everyone.

    In case you need to activate multiplayer in the privacy settings

    If it is a child's account, the responsible parent must have access using the family group system.
