Installing the ssd from my old laptop in my new laptop I need to enter my bitlocker key every time I boot up

I've installed my ssd from my old laptop into my new one, which has two slots. I inserted the old ssd into the slot the new one had been installed in and moved the new one into the other slot. But I can't get the laptop to boot from the ssd from my old laptop, and every time I boot up the laptop I need to enter the bitlocker recovery key in order to access the data on it. How can I set the ssd to permanently allow access, and boot from that drive?

    Hello!

You may follow these steps to disable BitLocker protection:

    1. Open Control Panel > System and Security > BitLocker Drive Encryption.
    2. Look for the drive on which you want to turn it off, and click "Turn Off BitLocker".
    3. The drive will then start decrypting. The duration will depend on the size of the drive.

    To check the BIOS compatibility,

    1. Check the boot mode of the old SSD. Open the System Information:

press Windows + R, type msinfo32, and press Enter. Then look for the BIOS Mode:

It will either be UEFI or Legacy.

    1. Check your current BIOS Mode by going through the same in step 1.
    2. Match the BIOS Mode to the SSD setup.

    2. Set the boot order to prioritize the old SSD.
    3. Make sure the BIOS mode matches the setup of the old SSD.
