I tried to follow these steps. However, when I adjust the scaling, it applies it to both monitors. I was able to adjust the resolution separately which helped, though.
How do I set different scaling for two different screens with Windows 11 Enterprise?
I recently got a new laptop for work and am having trouble with the scaling. When I plug my laptop into my monitor and adjust the scaling, it applies it to both screens making one too large or one too small when I adjust up or down. How do I set different scaling for each screen with Windows 11 Enterprise?

2025-05-28T18:15:21+00:00 I see, please try these troubleshooting tips.
Log Out and Log In:
After adjusting the scaling settings, log out of your account and log back in. This can help Windows apply the new settings correctly.
Check for Interfering Software:
Ensure that no third-party software is overriding or interfering with the display settings.
Update Graphics Drivers:
Outdated or incompatible graphics drivers can cause display issues. Ensure your graphics drivers are up to date.

Beside the Identify button, did you select "Extend these displays"?

Thank you so much for reaching out, I am Dexter an independent advisor, and I am glad to assist you today.
In Windows 11 Enterprise, you can set different display scaling for each monitor in a multi-monitor setup. Here's how to do it:
How to Set Different Scaling for Each Monitor
Right-click on your desktop and select Display settings.
Scroll down to the Multiple displays section.
Click on Identify to see which number corresponds to each monitor.
Select the monitor you want to adjust.
Under Scale & layout, find the Display resolution and Display orientation settings. Adjust these as needed.
Under Scale, choose the scaling percentage that suits your monitor. Windows will apply this scaling only to the selected monitor.
Repeat steps 4–6 for each monitor.
Additional Tips
Aligning Monitors: If your monitors are of different sizes or resolutions, you might need to adjust their alignment to ensure smooth cursor movement between them. Windows uses the resolution to determine monitor size, which can cause issues if monitors have different physical sizes but similar resolutions. In such cases, utilities like https://github.com/mgth/LittleBigMouse/releases can help align monitors accurately and enable seamless cursor movement .
Graphics Control Panel: If you have a dedicated graphics card, you can use its control panel (e.g., NVIDIA Control Panel or AMD Radeon Settings) to fine-tune display settings, including scaling and resolution, for each monitor.
Custom Scaling: Windows allows custom scaling, but it's recommended to use the preset scaling options (e.g., 100%, 125%, 150%) to avoid potential issues with app compatibility and UI elements.
Should you have more questions, please let me know.
Best regards,
